Established on 01/08/1978, the was firstly named as ĐOC LAP RUBBER INDUSTRY STATE PRIVATE JOINT ENTERPRISE. After re-structuring and re-organizing, on date 19-05-1981, the joint enterprise was split to 3 enterprises: the ADVANCE RUBBER JOINT ENTERPRISE 3,4,5.

In 1986, the ADVANCE RUBBER JOINT ENTERPRISE 4 was merged to the ADVANCE RUBBER JOINT ENTERPRISE 5, and renamed THONG NHAT RUBBER STATE PRIVATE JOINT ENTERPRISE.

On 25-06-1992, following instruction from the State, all assets belong to previous owners were returned to them and the new enterprise followed nationalization all assets remained without owners, the Enterprise was renamed “ THONG NHAT RUBBER STATE-OWNED COMPANY”, directly under the UNI0N of Rubber Factories- Ho Chi Minh Industry and Trade Department

On 10-11-1992, the Ho Chi Minh People`s Committee decided to establish the state-owned company named: THONG NHAT RUBBER STATE-OWNED COMPANY”

On 01-02-1994, the THONG NHAT RUBBER STATE-OWNED COMPANY registered to independent accounting, directly under Ho Chi Minh Industry and Trade Department

On 26-04-1994, following the decision from Ho Chi Minh People`s Committee, the company was renamed as “ THONG NHAT RUBBER COMPANY” , the company has direct import-export permit

The M&A process took place in 1994, 1998, 2000, the THONG NHAT RUBBER COMPANY acquired 3 Business Units: On date 20-08-1994,mergence of the CONSUMER ENGINEERING COMPANY, On date 27-05-1998 mergence of the PIGMENT ENTERPRISE, On date 11-07-2000, mergence of the SAIGON GLASS FACTORY.

On 27-03-2006, according to Decision No 1325/QĐ-UBND of the Ho Chi Minh People`s Committee, about the establishment of the SAIGON INDUSTRY CORPORATION (CNS), the company functions as Parent company, whereas the THONG NHAT RUBBER COMPANY is the child company.

On 30/07/2010, according to Decision No 3329/QĐ-UBND of the Ho Chi Minh People`s Committee, about the approval of project to change the name of THONG NHAT RUBBER COMPANY, the company was finally renamed to THONG NHAT RUBBER COMPANY LIMITED.
